Situation:
Sony DADC prepared to celebrate its 20th Anniversary with an Open House at its Terre Haute replicating plant.
Problem:
Sony management needed a way to display a visual representation of the company´s
innovative history that would impress Open House visitors with its achievements
and its impact on the entertainment industry.
Solution:
Implementing this tactic was taken on by MillerWhite´s creative services area,
which designed a large (approximately 24-ft. x 10-ft.), full-color indoor billboard-type
display that outlined the company´s chronology and highlighted product
releases and significant milestones, relating them to the artists whose CDs
and DVDs Sony produced.
Results:
The impactful, eye-catching display pulled visitors
in and engaged them with the impressive history of Sony´s contributions to the entertainment industry. Sony´s Marketing Manager Shelley Klingerman said, “MillerWhite quickly and creatively solved a problem that we were struggling with, and in a very cost effective manner. The billboard ended up being one of the most memorable stops on our plant tour, and it remains on display today.” Sony was able to reinforce the foundation as a replicator that it had built over its first 20 years and support the company´s
future as a service provider.
